President Jack Tragis Retires

For more than 25 years, Jack Tragis has lead the Fairbanks Arctic Lions Hockey Club. His dedication and leadership will continue as immediate past president and as President of the Alaska Grizzlies, our sister organization.

A pillar of the Fairbanks hockey community for more than four decades, Jack is the founder and served as President of Arctic Lions since the inception. With his wife Darlene, they built the association with the belief that there was a need for an organization dedicated entirely to the development of a competition team program for our youth. A true gentleman, coach, dad, and mentor for countless players, parents, fellow coaches – Jack has and always will give you the shirt off his back if needed.
